A Short Story of Henry- By Will Beckmeyer

Our adventure begins with our hero, Henry the Great, trudging across a volcanic wast land. The sun was blocked out by smock of numerous volcanoes, so the only light came from the fires springing up from the land. Our hero was on his way to a lovely town on the other side of this hellish land. Stress began to bother our hero, the stress was caused by the fear that he wouldn't make it across. And thous began the battle that would continue for the rest of his life.
The fires started burning brighter, signifying that the non visible sun had risen. Our hero was now only a two day journey to the end of this wast land. Suddenly, the rocks around him began to shake. A large ring of fire lit up around him. The ground began to glow red. The volcanic rocks melted together creating solid ground. From the ground, burst forth a beast of great size. Even at first glance, our hero knew that this monster didn't intend to let him leave the ring of fire alive. Henry drew his large sword off his back. Hence followed the battle for Henry's life. Many strong blows were dealt by both sides. Henry would block an attack, then would swing his sword, which in turn would be blocked. Follow each blow would be a lot of yelling.
Hours had past, no victor had emerged from that burning ring. Both fighters were getting worn out. However, the monster was still focused on killing or hero. As the day was nearing it's end, our hero rammed his sword into the beast with a burst of strength. With a great wail, the monster fell. Our hero walked over to the dying villain.
“Tell me, foul  beast, what is your name,” he demanded.
“Stress,” the beast said with an evil laugh. “You know me well. We  will meet again and you won't live to tell the tale.” And with that, it disappeared.

At that very moment, the ring of fire went out. Henry stood alone for a bit. Then went on his way, knowing that he would have this battle again.
