Broken Banana Tree and Broken Friendship- by Joey Weber

Once upon a time there was a monkey named Jeff and a turtle named Fred that lived in the forest. These best friends were walking in a path in the forest. They saw a broken banana tree on the ground, and Fred asked, “What should we do?”
Jeff replied, “I should take it with me, because I am a monkey.”
Fred responded, “Hold on! Hold on!” and said, “Friends should share with each other.”
So Jeff agreed with Fred, and they split the banana tree. Jeff got the top, and Fred, with a smirking face, got the bottom. They both planted their split banana tree. Jeff took care of his banana tree. He would water it every day. Fred also just watered it every day and waited for it to grow. As time went by Fred’s banana tree grew taller than ever before, but Jeff’s tree grew a dark brownish color and fell on the ground. Jeff was so confused that his tree did not grow so he went to see Fred. He saw Fred’s banana tree was up and standing with bananas.
Fred said, “So how’s your banana tree doing?”
Jeff replied, “It died,” in a sad face. Fred started to laugh, and laughed so hard that he almost died too.
Fred wanted to try some bananas from his banana tree, but he couldn’t climb, because he was a turtle, so he asked Jeff if he could get them for him. Jeff made it to the top and started eating all the bananas without sharing them with Fred. Fred got so angry that he rammed the tree with his shell and the banana tree quickly fell on the ground. Fred and Jeff had a brutal fight and ended their friendship.
